Properties: Light yellow crystalline powder, slightly irritating.

Melting point: 160℃ (decomposition)

Tap density: 1.25g/cm3

Bulk density: 0.8g/cm3.

Solubility: Loss of crystal water at 142°C under vacuum. Dissolved in cold water 0.022g/100g, in hot water 0.026g/100g, insoluble in water, soluble in cold salt solution.

Stable under normal temperature and pressure, light yellow crystalline powder. Its hydrate, ferrous oxalate dihydrate, loses crystal water at 142°C under vacuum and can be dissolved in cold salt solution. It is insoluble in water, but can be slowly dissolved in cold hydrochloric acid.

Ferrous oxalate is heated and decomposed into ferrous oxide, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. The chemical equation is as follows:

FeC2O4 = FeO + CO↑ + CO2↑ (heating)

The design parameters of the flash Dryer are as follows:

Material initial moisture: 15-20%;

Final moisture content of material: £0.5-1%;

Inlet air temperature: 120-140℃;

Outlet air temperature: 80-95℃;
